Application: Poly (L-lactic acid) is a bioabsorbable degradable material. It has good bioabsorbability and biocompatibility. The degradation of polylactic acid in vivo can be divided into two stages. First, the lactic acid monomer is hydrolyzed, and then the lactic acid monomer is transformed into pyruvate under the action of lactic acid dehydrogenase, and then it enters the mitochondria and is completely oxidized and decomposed to generate carbon dioxide and water.
The products made from polylactic acid have good biocompatibility. After being degraded in vivo, the products are metabolized and eliminated from the body without harmful or toxic side effects on the human body. Therefore, they are widely used in the medical field, such as disposable transfusion equipment and non-disassembly surgical sutures. Controlled release and sustained-release drug packaging agent; Tissue engineering scaffolds, bone fixation and repair materials, injection microcapsules, microspheres, implants, and animal organ support elastomers, etc.
